Daytona Beach loves beachgoers, NASCAR fans, and bikers

Serviced by Orlando International Airport and Daytona Beach International Airport, Daytona Beach is a haven for everyone from NASCAR fanatics to spring breakers and everyone in between.  Frolicking on the beach is just one of the many options afforded to visitors of the World’s Most Famous Beach. Whether you are looking for a family vacation destination or a college getaway in the spring, Daytona Beach has activities to meet your needs.

Water sports and motor sports are two premier activities in Daytona Beach.  Everything from surfing to parasailing can be had at this famous beach destination.  Sporting 23 miles of beaches, Daytona is favorite destination for those who seek the ocean’s edge and activities.  The Daytona 500 and the Coke Zero 400 are just two of the big events that occur at the Daytona International Speedway. Bike week and  Biketoberfest are the two weeks where motorcycles line the streets and the city is overtaken by v-twin lovers.

On the cultural side of Daytona Beach, there are options as well.  You can spend the day at the 5300 square foot Marine Science Center, where you view sea turtle rehabilitation, artificial reefs, and many different interactive displays.  You can also spend the day at the new Museum of Arts and Sciences.  The 90 acre facility has a children’s museum, world class art, a history center, and even a nature preserve.

Located just 90 minutes Northeast of Orlando, Daytona Beach visitors are close enough to travel into town and enjoy the theme parks like Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios.  Daytona Beach has something to offer for all visitors.

Square pizza is NOT square!!

Some of the best pizza, I have had, was served at 1:30 am.  With chains from South Beach to Fort Lauderdale and Delray Beach, Pizza Rustica serves up south Florida's best Roman style pizza.  Typically served by the slice, Pizza Rustica offers a wide variety of slices from NY Steak, the traditional Supreme, to the unusual Roasted Chicken and Corn.  One of the best slices to get Pizza Rustica doesn't even have cheese.  It's the Chocolate Pizza.  This dessert pizza is like a cherry atop the best sundae.  Made with hazelnut chocolate, every bite is a dream. Mmmmmm.

Not only is it great pizza at almost all hours of the day/night, their pizza won't break the bank. Prices for a healthy sized slice are typically under $5.    If you insist on a round pizza, they can make a killer traditional pizza too!
